- Add the Skyrim installation folder to this.
- Note – If you were using an antivirus, make sure to add an exclusion or disable it before you continue.
- Check if the issue persists by playing the game.

Disable your antivirus software

Tap on the McAfee Antivirus icon at the bottom right, including its Windows toolbar.
On the Security Management page, click.
Select Schedule & Run scans from the Virus & Spyware Protection box.
From the list of options below, you have chosen Right the Schedule Scan. Within the Exempted Files and Folders tab of the new window, you’ll see an Add button. Select the game directory by clicking Add via File Explorer.
Once you’ve met these requirements, select the file and save your changes.
